Since 2003, SlowExposures has presented an annual exhibition of fine art photography to showcase work that emphasizes the rich diversity, contradictions and complexity of the rural South (www.SlowExposures.org). Other events include photographic workshops, portfolio reviews, salons, other exhibits and the annual SlowExposures Ball. Proceeds from SlowExposures' events help fund the work of Pike Historic Preservation in Pike County, Georgia. Each year, photos juried into the show are collected and published in a show book.
