For two years I photographed my youngest sisters, Emily and Rachel. This series is a window into their world, a document of their personalities, lifestyle, environment, and likenesses over time. I was initially drawn to photographing Emily and Rachel due to the differences in the way they are growing up in an upper middle-class family as opposed to my own experience in a lower income, fragmented family. In this body of work children are represented as intelligent, sentient, psychologically complex, contemplative, dignified, mischievous and playful individuals.
