Earthly Meditations is body of work done in the medium of encaustic and consists of abstracted landscapes of our Mother Earth, the planet we call home. Within these paintings are emotional memories I may never have witnessed and dreamlike images of those I have. These are expressed in the melodies of the molten paint that come from a very still place inside me. The painting process requires both patience and skill and is very much, meditative.

Today there is great concern for what mankind has done to injure this earth in pursuit of "more". Some say man is the destroyer. Others say Earth’s warming is a recurring cycle of nature. Whether mankind becomes the victim of its own pollution and exploitations, or whether she is dancing to her own internal rhythms, the Earth will go on. Whether mankind does or not.
