The photographs collected here were taken from my back porch in Villa, and from various locations within a three-mile radius of it, over a period of two years. Villa is located at the southern tip of mainland St. Vincent.
The photographs possess three simple elements: sky, land and sea. The interplay between time and these three elements is the basis of this collection.
Moving from dawn through to dusk, the photographs depict the banal and the remarkable, the colorful and the not-so-colorful and all the hues, tonalities and emotions in between. There are three sections and 137 photographs in this collection which I have called “Island Sky”.
"You use a glass mirror to see your face," says George Bernard Shaw, but, "you use works of art to see your soul." With this collection, I intend, once again, to bring attention to the rich and historic, green legacy of the multi-island state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
