This is the story of a Mustang mare that was rescued and rehabilitated. In the process a journey of survival and discovery began.

The "On The Farm" series are simple childrens books, retelling real on the farm experiences. These stories will be told from the viewpoint of the animal, in an imaginary way.
Rebecca Milson Zavilla owns and operates a small horse boarding facility in the quiet town of Bixby, Oklahoma.
She has had a passion for helping, and getting attached to, the underprivileged child. The most recent, a young child that came into her care a few days per week for riding therapy.
This child is Jasmine Star, who at 5 captured the awareness of the horse, and understood that it deserved and wanted love. She had no fear. The realization that something larger than humans, could give her security, love, and peace, with no pain , became very real to her in her young years.
Her endurance, stamina, painful honesty, and her ability to work through abuse, has inspired the author to pen the series
"On The Farm".

When my mother was dying, I turned down all the things that she wished to give to me. This idea however, she would not let me turn down. The idea of me taking her notebooks of family history, dreaming up a story, and getting it printed.
How do I even put the last 17 years into a paragraph? While stumbling over my grief, the story began to pour out of my mind, and onto the page. I hope its readable.

I am a devoted mother and wife. I also own and operate a horse training / boarding facility.

I think that the little images in my mind have finally escaped, and they are on paper for the world to see. My mother wished for her genealogy to be recorded, and her family treasure to be in story form.
The characters, some real, and most imagined, have given to me a vivid depiction of what my family may have been like in the old days.
