Living in Utrecht, Netherlands for six months in 2011 was an opportunity of a lifetime allowing me to experience a different culture. Some may talk about the challenges of learning Dutch. Others may write about 500 year old buildings and 800 year old churches. However, what I found most striking in the Netherlands is their primary mode of transportation . . . the fiet or bicycle. It is truly the Land of the Fiets .
