This Western Maryland Railway book is a new expanded version of the original softcover version that was released in 2010. It now consists of nearly 250 photos (49 more than the original), with more detailed information centering on the years of the 1950's, 1960's, & the 1970's.
The line is covered from Hagerstown, Maryland to Connellsville, Pennsylvania through the Potomac River Valley and across the Allegheny Mountains via historic Cumberland, Maryland in Allegany County. See 1960's, & 1970's steam powered trains in the form of CP 1286, NKP 759, RDG 2102, with a special section on Southern's 4501, all on WM rails! The book's final section offers twenty aerial views of the mainline from the Potomac River Valley into Maryland Junction, and Knobmount Yard as the line looks today.
