Artisan mixed media jewelry inspired by original short stories and poems
by Karen McGovern
About the Book
Sacred Salvage is a collection of original short stories and poems written by conservation biologist and jewelry designer Karen McGovern. Accompanying each story or poem is a mixed media jewelry design inspired by the text. Laid out as a photo book, the images are lovely to look at and the stories and poems are sure to inspire.
All Karen's works are inspired by nature, created by hand. 100% of her sales proceeds will be donated to the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation, www.rarespecies.org, in support of wildlife conservation.
Features & Details
I am a conservation biologist and jewelry designer. I create art and jewelry inspired by nature. My goal is to raise funds and awareness for wildlife conservation throug art. Art and Nature are one and the same to me, you cannot have one without the other. I work with the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation, www.rarespecies.org, and donate most of my sales proceeds in support of conservation programs. I work with reclaimed metals (brass and copper), sterling silver, found objects, antiquities and botanicals. All my designs are one of a kind, and I love to explore mixed media and mixed metals. You can find more of my work at www.Beadkeepers.com.
