Venetian Matters derives from a blog of the same name created while the author was studying Italian in Venice for 6 months. The immediacy of the blog is maintained while the major theme of the book, interrelationships between design and life are enriched.
Touching on urbanistic themes, the problems of nature, time and acqua alta, and the joy of meeting people – in ancient Pompeii as well as at an event in Venice today, the events are treated as adventures and illuminated by the author’s photographs.
