I fell in love with Paris at first sight in 1997. But Paris is an enigmatic lover: Full of mystery and contradictions, she reveals herself in layers, one moment at a time.
Maybe that's why I've returned over and over, each time going a little deeper past Paris' tourist-trap veneer.
The images in this book are the result of my two most recent trips — the first in September, 2010, and the second in March, 2011.
I hope they convey some of the magic of being in Paris at a certain moment in time.
