About the Book
My life's journey as a bluegrass musician and maker of fine banjos and other instruments. I was raised in poverty on a farm in southeastern Kentucky where I learned to play Bluegrass music. I joined the US Air Force and was stationed in Maine, where I live today. I am one of the pioneers of Bluegrass music, and I believe I was the first 5-string banjo player from the south to settle in Maine.
