About the Book
During that time, I wrote two books on the many processes involved in building a kennel. This book speaks to the uniqueness’s of proper kennel construction and how it must differ from conventional building practices. It talks about proper finishes, air quality and drainage that are crucial in maintaining a clean and healthy environment. This book also has some 30 sample kennel plans and some drawing templates that you may photocopy and cut-out to help you arrange your kennel to scale.
I continue to design animal facilities today, and I am available to help you if needed. Please see my website, www.KennelDesignUSA.com and contact me any time to get started on your project or with any questions you may have.
I wish you all the best in your new facility.
My name is Craig L. McAllester, and I have been an architectural designer since 1990. In 2003, I designed my first boarding kennel, and at last count some years ago, I had designed over 250 boarding kennels and catteries, animal hospitals, veterinary clinics, grooming shops, city animal shelters, SPCA facilities, police, military and the United States Boarder Patrol / HomeLand Security K9 working dog kennels all across the United States of America and in several other countries around the world. I would be glad to talk to you about your project. Thank you so much for stopping by.
