I am a French / Spanish photographer which come from a legacy of revolutionary anarchist parents. They fought for the Republica during the Spanish Civil War. In 1987 I left Europe to fight with my camera for Nicaragua Libre, a small country in Central America in revolution and in war against the Nicaraguan militia and theirs supporters the Reagan US administration. As a young photojournalist, I worked for the Sandinista Government and was assigned to photograph “la Brigada Maria Blanco” a battalion of women sends to talk about the cooperative movement and the place of women in it. I spend months traveling with them across the frontline in the north of the country where the rebel groups the contras carried out many violations of human rights.
It was a life changing experience.
