A major and essential reference book for airplane toy collectors, especially vintage toy collectors and Dinky Toy collectors. Dedicated to Sue Richardson.
This book is the first to cover all the Dinky Toys aircraft produced in Great Britain and France starting in 1934, continuing during the prewar period, reissued during the early postwar period until 1948, the 1950s releases, and finally through launch of the ‘Big Planes’ range in the 1960s until the demise of the firm in 1979.
Each Dinky Toys aircraft is described in a monograph consolidating all the details of the aircraft toy in one section with photographs of the toy, a full description, reference number, scale, production dates, casting details, some of the variations produced, other named toys using the same principal casting, along with a brief history of the actual aircraft selected by the Dinky designers.
