As a late starter to the world of writing in my 4th career I have written hundreds of articles published in the United States and Canada as well as three books. I have lived on different continents, am widely traveled and have been an environmental activist for many years. What I have seen and experienced in my different careers has been a great "education" of an informal kind but an eye-opener and while the solutions to the problems of clean energy are available to us - they are not in the interest of Governments and Multinational Corporations.
I am living out my years in the middle of the Atlantic on a volcanic island where I can still enjoy nature, bird-song and flowers as well as contribute, though hampered by poor health, via the wonderful micro-loan systems that exist. I only loan to women, the poorest of the poor on several continents who try hard to educate their daughters. By the mere misfortune of having been born female they must work twice as hard it seems.
