About the Book
This is book for all ages, and both sides of your brain. On one level it is a book that a grandparent or teacher can sit down and share with young ones — to help them understand how nature works; but on another level it is so deep that even the most mature among us will discover images and words to contemplate. Rick Maloof’s timeless forest photographs are captured here to be celebrated forever.

About the Creator
A scientist by education: University of Delaware for Plant Science; U of MD Eastern Shore for Environmental Science; then U of MD College Park for Ecology. Then I discovered the power and joy of creative nonfiction; and most recently became fascinated with "beauty in nature." My husband, Rick, was a talented photographer and wonderful person. This book is a memorial to him.
