Susie Snowflake is a story with many different levels of meaning. In its simplest form, it is a story about a snowflake who takes a journey. Yet, it can also be viewed as a metaphor for the ultimate journey that we all take. Susie Snowflake can be enjoyed as a simple bedtime story or used as a springboard to discussions about life and death with young children.
Dallas author Jan Daniel was inspired to write this book in 1993 while at a conference in Phoenix, Arizona. She never planned on being an author, but fate had other plans for her. After putting off the publication of this book for more than twelve years, Jan finally brought Susie to life in 2005. Jan earned her B.A. from West Georgia College and her M.L.A. from Southern Methodist University.
