I grew up in the small farming community of Elmore City, OK. Elmore became known worldwide in the spring of 1980, my sophmore year, when we were allowed to have our first prom. At that time there was still a law on the books that it was illegal to dance in the city limits. The movie Footloose was based on this first prom.
I now call Norman, OK (home of the SOONERS!) as home. I currently work for the Moore Public School system as a Highly Qualified Para in a classroom of children who have autism. I enjoy working with special needs children but also look forward to pursuing a career as an author as well.
