I was fortunate to meet Andrzej At Johnson Atelier in the early 80s. I pulled into the parking lot to pick up my wife one day and saw "Partisans" completely assembled for the first time. It was so massive and overwhelmingly powerful that I jammed on the brakes. After I caught my breath and parked the car I went to examine it more closely. The cupro-nickel was so flawless that it looked like this piece, taller than the building, was completed in one pour. I'm glad to see Andrzej is continuing his 'shock-and-awe' sculpture.
