About the Book
As the capital of the world's most populous nation, Beijing is subject to a huge weight of expectation - but its sheer vastness and diversity will leave any critic first silenced, then seduced. The timeless majesty that characterises China flows through the veins of its capital and out to the countryside, where the singular beauty of the Great Wall awaits.
