About the Book
Peggy's Cove is an active fishing village and a favourite tourist destination in Nova Scotia, Canada. It attracts artists, photographers and nature lovers from around the world. Though its population is small (under 50) it has much to offer; including spectacular ocean views, majestic sunsets, incredibly fresh and tasty seafood and wonderful local hospitality.
The Canadian Coast Guard operates the classic red and white lighthouse which is one of the most recognizable lighthouses in the world due to the incredible amount of photographers this region attracts.
Although the villages’ economy is heavily influenced by tourism, it still, to this day retains a strong fishing heritage, particularly lobster.
The raw, unforgiving landscape, constantly changing weather patterns and power of the ocean is one which will stay with you forever. As will the `salt of the earth` friendliness of the locals.
