A lighthearted look at learning through alliteration, this is an alphabet book about the beach. Not just any beach, the shoreline environment of the great Puget Sound estuary system in Washington State. Wander the wrack line and tarry awhile in the tide pools as you experience the ecology of life on a Pacific Northwest beach.

Sketchbook in hand, I spend as much time as possible gathering artistic inspiration on wilderness adventures. My goal is to capture the intangibles, the smell of hiking in the rain, the rush of an incoming ocean tide, the thrill of a wildlife encounter. I put together my first book after an Artist in Residence summer in Glacier National Park and I can't seem to stop. I hope my books inspire your own wilderness explorations, even if it's in your own back yard. Enjoy!
