About the Book
A collection of images by photographer Dan Splaine made during his travels in India. In 2010 Dan journeyed to a small Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the remote Himalayan province of Arunachal Pradesh. The journey originated with an invitation by Dan's friend, a Tibetan monk to come document the “little monastery”. This collection includes photography of life in the monastery as well as his observations made traveling throughout India.
This journey was a personal photography project intended to raise awareness of this remote monastery and a disappearing culture. The purpose for this project is to share the inspiration of the journey and to motivate a greater consciousness of the threatened Tibetan culture.
Please enjoy the images.
