About the Book
In May, 2007, several groups of Buddhist monks from the Bhumtang Valley gathered at a remote palace known as Yungdrung Choeling. The palace was built in the early 20th century for the first king of Bhutan, and is presided over by the princess Ashi Kesang Wangchuck, a direct descendant of the first king. All the multiple exposure were done at the time of shooting and the only digital manipulations were done for correction of color, luminosity and cropping.

About the Creator
Brazilian born lived away from her native land for nineteen years. She did her internship in photography at the Royal College of Arts in London. Back in her homeland she devoted time to understanding her cultural heritage, in particular African Brazilian religion and art forms based on the Orixás (primal forces of Nature manifested as deities). She has created several solo exhibitions of her work in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Brazil. She is also a portrait photographer and has developed Portraits of the Unconscious-(transformative photography of rich symbolic content), as a medium for constructing an archetypal image developed from a creative and primal vision.
