(Softcover ) The standard landscape format book (10 by 8 inches) shows 110 images recorded on Kodachrome 25 film in the 1950's with a Leica IIIC and scanned for reproduction and printing. They cover both America, mainly the Southwest, and Europe, including England, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, the former Yugoslavia and Greece. The images preserve my vision of a world, much of which no longer exists. Many of the people I photographed belonged to the last generation to live in a way that had lasted for centuries; economic development, universal communication, war, and recently, tourism have taken their toll. For other sets of images, including more Kodachromes and recent digital images, see "mkarplusphotographer.com"
