The Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League won the Memorial Cup defeating the host Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League in the championship game. The Belleville Bulls of the OHL and the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League also played in the event.
