About the Book
‘The children on Meno seem to live such a pure
existence, free from the complications and pitfalls
that are so common in the outside world. A good
time for these children includes the kicking of a
soccer ball, a game of marbles, riding their BMX,
or simply hanging out under a tree. You can just
see the unadulterated happiness that radiates
from their faces. I have tried to capture something
of the essence of their joy in my photographs.
There is something in their faces that I believe
we can all relate to as human beings. Perhaps for
a split second, these photographs can take you
back to an age of innocence, imagination, and joy.’
