A photographic journal of the Sunnyvale Martial Artists going for their 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Degree Black Belt. Spring 2008 Black Belt Test.
I started out in photography by taking pictures of homeless people in San Francisco several years ago. I really love street shots and trying to capture the subject's emotions in that split second. My photography is an artistic outlet, a life documentation tool & a way to find the fun in the life that surrounds me!
In 2007 I officially started JP Images. I have now added cycling, martial arts, skateboarding, weddings, portraits, corporate head shots, interior design and candid shots to my portfolio.
I shoot with the Sony a900 Full Frame digital camera (24.6 megapixel resolution) and the Sony a700 (12.24 megapixel CMOS sensor). I utilize the 16mm fisheye lens all the way up to a 300mm lens. I have a portable studio for portrait sittings complete with lights, backdrops and reflectors!
Enjoy browsing my books. I am also available to make you your very own book!
