The Unreliable Memoirs of a Really Average Bass Guitarist
by Jem Soar
About the Book
This is the unreliable history of my involvement with bands and music. Sorry, but I was too busy enjoying doing it at the time to take careful notes, but I think this just about sums it all up.
It isn’t the usual story of struggling against incredible odds, gigging around the pubs, clubs and bars of London and beyond, to finally fight my way to stardom - obviously, or you would have heard of me! Instead its a story of struggling against incredible odds, gigging around the pubs, etc, etc, and then just giving up gracefully, but hopefully that’s also an engaging story.
So if you have ever been in a small band, followed a small band or been married to a musician this should have some resonance, and maybe bring back a few unreliable memories of your own.
