The things we make and spaces we build are generally understood to bring some semblance of order to our lives. But these creations are not exempt from the effects of time. Disorder, disrepair, decay - even our constructed structure has a finite lifespan. The polaroids in this book were taken with that idea in mind.
I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in photography in 2009. I now live in Chicago, and I work as an imaging specialist in the archives of the Chicago History Museum. In my spare time, I work as a freelance commercial photographer and I exhibit my fine art photography. Please visit my website if you would like to see more of my work.
