About the Book
White Nights in St. Petersburg, Russia, occur during the season of the midnight sun. For almost six weeks, as the night sky never fades to complete darkness, the city surges with movement, color, and light. The photographs in this collection were all taken during a four-week stay in St. Petersburg in 2011. This collection is by no means an attempt to methodically categorize, but rather a reflection on my very short experience in perpetual light.
