I live in the city of Lucca ( Italy ) and this is how I see it.
As I walk around the city I see its reflections in the puddles. As I enter the countless churches I'm awe of the "Light of God". As I continue to stroll around the city , I revel in the ambiance and the subtle nuances of light and shade.
The city comes alive with Christmas lights, but I would love to have seen it as it was in bygone days.
Raffaello
Raffaello Ferrari si avvicina alla fotografia nel 1998 frequentando i corsi di Primo Livello e poi di “Educazione all’ Immagine”, tenuti a Lucca da Roberto Evangelisti. Nel 2000 è uno dei fondatori del Circolo di Cultura Fotografia “Photolife”.
Nel 2006 partecipa ai workshop del fotografo Ivo Saglietti e comincia a tenere mostre personali. Nel 2007 un suo reportage viene segnalato al LuccaDigitalPhotoFest ed esposto nella manifestazione.
Dal 2008 si appassiona ai giochi di ruolo dal vivo: le sue foto vengono pubblicate sulle guide associative e sulle riviste "Vampiri" e "Glamour".
Nel 2010 le sue foto delle Mura di Lucca vengono acquisite dall’ Archivio Fotografico ed entrano a far parte della storia della città. Per la mostra “Ombre e Presenze a Lucca” ottiene il patrocinio del Comune.
Sempre nel 2010 partecipa al concorso “The First China International Competition”, non vince, ma una delle sue foto rientra nelle prime 500 (su oltre 32000) e viene esposta a Changsha in Cina.
