About the Book
What colour is winter?
The pristine white of a fresh snowfall?
The translucent blue of a frozen loch?
The watery gold of the sun low in the sky?
Taken in the bitter cold of the winters of 2010 and 2011 in Scotland, this collection of photographs shows the extraordinary range of colours that can be found at various times throughout the day: from pinks and violets as the first rays of light climb over the horizon, through brilliant blue midday skies, to crimson and gold sunsets as the shadows lengthen at the end of the day.

My images are mainly "scapes" of one sort or another - landscapes, seascapes, cloudscapes and cityscapes. I try to minimise the amount of digital enhancement done in post-processing, trying instead to achieve the desired effects through the lens, using filters where necessary. What you see on the page is what I saw through the viewfinder.
