Three industrious ten year olds spend their summer getting into all kinds of hilarious adventures in their hometown of Hinsdale, Illinois. They build a Ferris wheel and a candy dispensing machine for the neighborhood kids that gets them into hot water, not to mention what happens when fishing for piranhas and lost treasure in the nearby cattail swamp. Add to that a wild ride in a hometown soapbox and a boy Scout campout with a madman on the loose and you have a summer of thrills and spills. Donald, a resourceful inventor, narrates his own story and is destined to become the next Tom Sawyer.

I have written eight books thus far and am having fun doing it. It really shows in Hinsdale: The Summer of '58. Great for all ages! I sit quietly in front of a desktop computer listening to music while I work. A glass of orange juice and a vivid imagination. Just fun, join me in and adventure.
