Carsten ten Brink is a painter and photographer who has travelled extensively in Africa. A major theme in his painting is capturing people in their environment and this collection of photos reflects his interest, focusing on Ethiopians against the backdrop of their homes, shops and places of work.
Images were chosen from around the country: Axum, Bahir Dar, the Gondar area and Lalibela in the north, Harar in the east and the Omo valley area in the south as well as on the roads between them.
