These photographs have been taken during the last three years, all over Scotland - from the Butt of Lewis to the Mull of Galloway (with only the briefest of forays across the border into Northumberland, for good measure).
They cover many subjects, though the reader will note a marked preference for the 'wild places' the author travels to in his campervan, as both a keen hillwalker and an active member of The John Muir Trust.
Like these travels, the book is haphazard in its arrangement - a miscellany of sights and scenes and shades, with no clear thread running through it, other than the joy of being outside and making pictures.
The photographs have had only an online existence until now, as part of the author's Flickr site. They appear here for the first time in book form.
