Two friends explore the remains at the Ashley Coal Breaker. This is my documentary of the day. It expresses the magnitude of the machines and their fragility in the face of time. And a little bit of the sadness this industry of the past has left for my community.

I am a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a student. Art is all around, and I try to freeze these moments in time. Found still lives, metal painted by age and nature, a torn flower petal, a look of concentration or discovery. I have learned to stop and take in these tiny miracles and I want to share them with others. These are my stories shared in these pages.

Thanks for the nice comment Jamie! I'm managing with a cane now, so huge improvement! I like your book. I have a thing for old industrial sites. I love the title too!
