About the Book
I started this project three years ago on a trip out to Colorado. My uncle's cabin abuts a national forest and during my walks through the woods I began noticing the delicate flora poking through the snow. I was drawn to them and couldn't help but photograph.

About the Creator
Chris Kendig Photography
Philadelphia
I've been a professional photographer for the past ten years. I graduated with a B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. From there I photographed at a daily newspaper and went on to attend The Salt Institute for Documentary Field Studies in Portland, Maine. After graduating I stayed in Maine for the summer working at Aurora Photos (a stock photography agency). I left Maine for Chicago to do documentary video and editing for a year. In the summer of 2011 I launched Chris Kendig Photography and haven't turned back yet.
