This book portrays a photographic exhibition which took place in the International House in Davis, California from April 10 to May 5, 2009. The photographic images were collected in western North America, New Zealand, and Western Australia. In this exhibition, by comparing, contrasting and showing interactions between elements of natural landscapes and man made artifacts, the Author seeks to depict his perception of the essence of time.

A born traveler, adventurer and lifetime seeker of experience, I’ve carried a camera with me for more than five decades, collecting thousands of images. My best pictures occurred when my camera and I just happened to be in a particular location, at a particular moment, when the subject matter and the light combined happily to form a scene allowing creation of a memorable image.
I hope this book is a long-term source of pleasure, insight, and inspiration, to those who pick it up and ponder it.
