"I was not supposed to fall in love with you." Ariston said with a tender smile as he caressed my cheek.
"Nothing goes as planned when love is involved." I told him and with that, he leaned in and captured my lips with his own, the kiss was half way between sweetness and passion.
These were the words that appeared in my mind a year and a half ago, and these words gave birth Mera Vandenberg, Ariston Crete and to the Omega Series. But this book, and the series it belongs to, is so much more than just another love story. My book gives the reader an insight into a world most have only dreamt of, the world of the Gods. This series takes the reader on a journey filled with love, passion, honor and sacrifice. It is a story about how love can change your world and make it whole. It is about embracing your destiny, even at the cost of your own life.
Beauty In Itself is the story of Mera and Ariston, a perhaps unlikely but fated couple. Ariston is a son of Zeus, the king of the Olympian gods, and Mera’s heritage is just as impressive, although she is unaware of it.
Beauty In Itself is the first book in this series. It takes place in modern day in the fictional town of Blueridge, Maine and follows the story of Mera Vandenberg, a young woman just shy of eighteen years old who is attending her final year of high school at Blueridge Prep. Mera's life consist of school, riding horses and working at Blueridge Stables with her friends, but for months now there has been a longing within her for more, as if destiny is calling her to a path she is soon to find.
Mera’s life begins to change in ways she never expected on the first day of school when she meets the captivating Ariston Crete. But falling in love with Ariston is only part of the change in Mera’s life. She soon comes to realize that she herself is something more than human and that her destiny is greater and far more perilous than she could have imagined.
