The 80 page work can barely contain the talent and rawness of the Oakland Streets and it's local Bay Area Art Criminals. It is not meant to be a definitive statement on the streets, but rather a snippet of one man's crusade to capture as much of the Oakland streets as possible. It's a collection of Tags, Slaps, Throwies, Pastes, Burners, Walls, Trucks, Murals . . . both Legal and Illegal Pieces.
Nite Owl's photographic style captures the art and graffiti within it's environments, treating the surrounding background as a frame for the works. The graffiti and art often play off the context of the streets. Barbed wire, trash, homeless encampments . . Nothing will stop the pursuit of a shot.

Afflicted with wanderlust, for over a decade I’ve been traveling the world and photographing the human condition. Europe, South East Asia and South America are some of my favorite spots to visit for photography. Street Art and Graffiti are some of my favorite non-human subjects to shoot. Since it changes so frequently and often disappears I’ve been attempting to capture as much of the local Bay Area street scene as possible. My photos have earned praise and acclaim on the international scene, where I contribute to Fatcap and some local notoriety from Midnite Mobbin. Recently I’ve been self-publishing photo books about the town based on the photos in my collection. Popular titles include “West Oakland Hood Daze” and “Oakland Bangers 2011”, an in-depth look at the streets of Oakland.
