The winners of SUMMER, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops' second photo contest for 2011, are proudly presented here.
The theme of the contest asked photographers to enter work that captured, embraced or defined the personality of summer. We applaud these inspired interpretations and the remarkable range of vision, technique and creativity.
Jurors Kathy Ryan, Scott Thode, Katherine Ware, and
Sean Kernan reviewed 1985 images submitted by 545 photographers from 24 countries—including Cambodia, Korea, Costa Rica, Hungary, Israel, Latvia, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam—and chose 50 award-winning photographs.
Color or black-and-white, an object, a person, a location,
a moment—the magic of summer lingers in these images.
We congratulate the winners, thank one and all for entering, and send a special thanks to the jurors and sponsors of SUMMER.
