I think that everyone can relate to the bathos presented in Gillard's photos. Grand holidays transitioned into common everyday moments of picture taking, gorging ourselves and general boredom after the celebration. Isn't that the way with holidays all over the world? Gillard has a keen eye for catching those moments when the ennui kicks in and we hit that ho-hum wall, you know its time to go home.
