About the Creator
Dorothy H. Ferguson established D.H. Ferguson, Attorney, P.L.L.C., in 2002. She earned her law degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Juris Doctor cum laude, then spent the next decade as associate attorney and partner at Harter, Secrest & Emery LLP. She branched out to open a small firm with another attorney in 2000, and two years later went solo. Dorothy is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Monroe County Bar Association, and the Rochester Women’s Network. Each year since 2008, she has been named an Upstate New York Super Lawyer by Law & Politics, earning her a place among the region’s top 5 percent of attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Married with five stepdaughters, Dorothy enjoys exercising, tennis, cooking, reading, and speaking on her favorite topic, creating an authentic life, to groups such as the Rochester Women’s Network.
