Through repetitive interchange and exposure of a single roll of film, Peter Tonningsen and Lisa Levine construct unique collaborative documents of place through a series of layered photographs that represent a kind of visual counterpoint, discussion, or repartee. Complexly fragmented and often saturated in color, these richly layered images challenge conventional photographic notions of individual authorship, time, and space to give us a novel and imaginative perspective of our contemporary landscape
