About the Book
The Ferris Wheel or "Wheel of fortune", as called in Spanish, always made me think that life sometimes has ups and downs as well as good times and not so good times. funny how sometimes we end up where we once were at the very start of our journey but every turn makes you see things differently and from a different angle.
2007 and 2008 fitted perfectly to the concept of the wheel of fortune for me. the happiest year, the saddest, the most interesting, the most beautiful and by far the most productive.
I have always been an avid and obsessive photographer but never have i had a year in my life better reflected in my work than these years. a look to classical love, people and places. A journey of the heart as well as the mind and body.
I decided to use nothing but cropping and basic tools but leave the photograph as taken to leave life as seen by the naked eye. Physical filters were used and the rest was the work of my love, enthusiasm and gusto.
Hope you can enjoy it with me.
that is why is dedicated
to you with Love.

Luis Aviles-Ortiz. Dublin based photographer since 2000 as part of a long life dream to be able to put in picture format thoughts, feeling and experiences. A free spirit with an incredible desire of capturing life as seen. His technique remains simple as as raw as possible without the aid of mastery of software. his approach to photography is almost as if being observed by innocent eyes. Has colaborated for local and international magazines as a hobbie. his passion for photography goes beyond capturing a moment in time, it also exhudes a desire to express an emotion or thought. Currently working on setting up his own picture gallery online under the name of Loelle.
