About the Book
Not winning a war, but an opportunity for healing the world - that's how I see the most important difference between the two. Obama has converted me from an apolitical, apathetic artist into one who is vitally absorbed with the wish to express what a blessing he is to us all.

In the past, as a painter and sculptor, I have also created commissioned public art installations. Currently, as a photographer, I apply a painter's eye to the process of selecting, framing and composing the image. At seven years old, I had no problem hooking my own bait for the chance to fish with him on the pier. This among other independent actions, made my father proud of me and is one of the many memories of our sacred, silent bonding ritual. We stood patiently together with the water holding our gaze, our thoughts free to wander and ponder possibility in peaceful silence. Now I am exploring the ways in which some images penetrate a disarmed consciousness and bring forth an introspection of memories, feelings and possibilities.
