This book is about Nola in the playground on the different equipment with her four friends.

Objective of Book: Nola helped a second grade speech group focus on articulation skills. The students worked on finding places for Nola to go on the playground in order to practice the “r” sound (over the bridge), the “sh” sound (on her leash) and the “s” sound (up the stairs). Nola also helped the students learn about spatial concepts (e.g., top, bottom, between). It was fun and motivating to practice good speech with Nola!!!

In addition, this book will continue to be used with other students to meet the same objectives.
