Outside the Box was my first major digital
imaging project using Photoshop as an editing tool to modify photographs.
The trigger to start this project was the release of an archival dye set for the Epson 3000 printer in 1998.
My intent was to produce images the echoed various print making mediums; Etching, or
Intaglio, Lithographs and Serigraphs.
The first prints were made in 1998, and as soon as I had 3 successful images, I began submitting to juried exhibitions in 1999. I continued
working with this concept through to 2002.
The images were complex, often comprising of 60 to 70 stacked layers to achieve the print
