Tiki Hartman's life of hula as told through the photographs from her archives.
Tiki was one of the first to perform hula in Japan after World War II, teaching the Japanese musicians how to play Hawaiian music,
one of the first women to perform the fire sword dance, walked on fire, and even twirled fire lighted poi balls.

A Hula Dancer

Flowers in her hair,
Moonlight on her face,
Dancing here and there,
Moving hands with hula grace.

Stories young and old,
Embracing all as they are told,
A hula Dancer is Hawai'i.

Everything that is Hawai'i
can be told by a hula dancer.

Everything that is Hawai'i
was Aunty Tiki to me.
